James Chapter 2

A warning against prejudice!

My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others? (James 1)

Does this sound like anyone you know? Or maybe we've been guilty of this ourselves? Either way it is pretty clear that James is painting a pretty clear picture of how we should act as Christians. Often times without even realizing it we turn our noses up to the less fortunate, or anyone not like us. What we need to be doing is asking ourselves "what would Jesus do" yep just like those bracelets we used to wear in school would say! who knew that those words would be so important to us as adult Christian men and women. So remember the next time you want to treat any one different because of their appearance, to remember what James say's right here in chapter 2 verse one? how can you claim to have faith in Jesus if you favor some people over others.
